Good Report
Max got a good report from school yesterday. This week they are focusing on nursery rhymes, something he enjoys.

Children's Harbor
He loved the suspension bridge to the tree house.
He still loves a hoola-hoop.
Volley ball with bells.
Emma checking Max out. He tolerates it for only so long!
DJ and Max walking to dinner.
We were able to go back to Children's Harbor camp on Lake Martin. The weekend is sponsored by the Alabama Association of Parents of the Visually Impaired and the UAB Center for Low Vision. Children's Harbor is a completely accessibly camp for children and adults with disabilities.
Max is still not ready to participate in all the children's activities independently. Last year he didn't go at all, this year he was able to go to the tree house and basketball courts with the other children and me tagging along. Next year our goal is for Max to be independent so DJ and I don't have to switch off during the parent's sessions. He went to bed early and woke-up early both nights. There was a lot of activity.
Once again, we made great new friends and spent a relaxing weekend at the lake.

Happy Easter!
We joined some neighbors for Easter lunch. Max loved the breakfast buffet. I'll post pictures from the Easter egg hunt soon. I need to upload them.

Trooper
Max had a sinus cat scan, under sedation, today. He was such a trooper! He couldn't eat after 6 am or drink after 10 am. His scan was scheduled for 1:00 pm. Expecting the worst, I called in reinforcements! Cici and Dude came down.
Max showed a lot of maturity today. He certainly asked for food, but did not have a single tantrum. He was content listening to music and riding in the wagon. The iv wasn't fun, but they never are. The nurse wanted to put the iv in before the doctor was in the room and I had to stop her. There is no way Max would just wait patiently with an iv in his hand for the doctor ! DJ and I were with him until he was asleep. Daddy hates the needles!
They were running late so he wasn't scanned till 1:30. He was only under for 5 minutes. Most children wouldn't need to be sedated, but staying still for that long in a loud machine would be impossible for Max. This way they got a great picture.
Now we wait for word from the ENT.

Asleep
Max fell asleep while we were in car pool to drop him off at school. I don't think he'll have a great day at school.
