Nap in Car

After school this morning and physical therapy after lunch, Max was pooped. His face is covered in icing from a Little Debbie Christmas tree cake.

Beach

We took Max to the beach to try to get a decent picture for our Christmas cards. Max did not cooperate, but he enjoyed his beachy snack.

Max in a Box

With us decluttering the house there are lots of boxes around. Who needs all the toys when you have a box to play in, and a CiCi to put you in it?

Shake Your Tail Feather

Max made a turkey costume at school. We tried to dress him up for Thanksgiving
but the hat was too small and he wouldn't leave it on. These are the two, least blurry, pictures.

Charity Event

DJ gave me one day to find something to wear and a baby sitter for a charity event. Some of DJ's clients were being honored so his office purchased a table. The Caridad Center helps the poor with medical, dental and education services. We had a good time. This picture was taken when we entered the ball room and a copy was waiting for us when we left.

Wind!

Max loves the windows down and the sun roof open.

Just Couldn't Wait

Max gets a piece of chocolate after a good PT session. Typically, he holds it while we walk to the car and then I open it. This time he couldn't wait. He ate the paper too!

Fall Fest

Using his new "chewelery" while waiting in line.

Popcorn! He also had funnel cakes and ice cream. (Real healthy I know.)

The Catholic church at the entrance to our neighborhood is having its Fall Fest this weekend. There are carnival rides, and of course, fair food. We walked over with our friends from the neighborhood Dennis and Elizabeth and their daughters Victoria and Julianne.

Max had fun on every ride, but the carousel. He did not want to sit on the horse. But, his absolute favorite was the big slide. DJ said the minute they started moving he'd laugh. I could see him waving his hands with excitement.

Parent-Teacher Conference

Max's teachers gave us these pictures. They are scanned from a paper copy so the resolution isn't great.

We had our first parent-teacher conference today. After 3 weeks, we are all very happy with Max's progress. If his behavior takes a turn they have figured out that Max just needs to eat. He's exploring more and participating in more activities. We will be keeping his shadow indefinitely because there might be an increase in his class size. The other children are starting to figure Max out. Right now he is in there with 3 girls and one other boy. The girls bring him toys and "mother" him. Hopefully, some rough boys will be brought into the mix so Max can get a feel for a real classroom environment.

Nap!

This is how DJ found us when he got home yesterday.

Max's Artwork

Max is starting to like school more. He's participating in activities and eating at the table. We have our first parent-teacher conference on Monday. I'm already nervous!

Halloween

Still asleep.

Daddies stealing candy.
Chocolate everywhere!
The bugs got him.

Max survived Halloween. He had a difficult weekend with no sleep and by the time trick-or-treating rolled around he was exhausted. He passed out in the middle of the party! After his nap he did trick-or-treat a little. But, he preferred to let the women do all the work. He stayed in his stroller, eating candy while Victoria took his bucket to get candy.
