Big Boy Bed

Max is now in a toddler bed. This is not what DJ and I want. However, Max broke his crib! Yes, broke it. He jumped so hard that he broke a metal bracket that holds up the mattress. We were able to rig it to be safe as a toddler bed but it won't be used as a crib again. He slept well last night thanks to the sleep medicine. But, nap time today did not go well.

Because Max is never alone in his room unless in the crib or "cage" we had to quickly child proof it last night. He likes electrical cords so we had move furniture to block them all. We also had to cover all outlets and make the glider not glide so he can't rock out of it. Next step is to get a gate for the door.

Toy Store

Max and I went to the toy store today looking for a specific toy recommended by his PT. They didn't have that toy, but Max did get to take this dog home. I did not get him the scooter. I'm not ready for Max to ride a scooter.

Walk in the Rain

On our evening walk we got caught in a rain storm. Max had a blast, while the other children we were with screamed in terror. We took cover in the garage, but Max didn't want to come in out of the rain. The pictures are blurry, sorry.

Time Out

Max had to go into time out this week for not listening. Boy, did he make me pay for those two minutes with a 45 minute fit.

Mommy and Me

I have to put Max in the chair backwards to keep him from sliding under the table during structured activities.

A Fort

When I got back from exercising tonight Max and DJ had a fort in our living room. I didn't see the completed fort because Max had already destroyed it. He kept saying "underneath", "underneath".

Curtains

Max now likes to play in the curtains. I don't know how long they'll last.

This is My Life

All you can do is laugh. I solved this by putting him in the bathtub.

Mommy and Me

Max and I got to go back to Mommy and Me class! This class is larger, 5 boys and 1 girl. It was nice to see that most of the children resisted the structured activities like Max did.

Beach

We spent some more time at the beach on Saturday. Max loved the sand. This time he preferred to stand up and let the waves push him down rather than be out a little further. DJ stood behind him and I stood in front of him and he rolled with the waves between us.

Toy Box

Max likes to play in his toy box now.

I was in the kitchen making breakfast and I hear "it's a bathtub". This is how I found Max.
